Privacy Policy: Cool Text Generator
This policy explains what data the Android app Cool Text Generator(package com.brightbyte.fancy.text.generator), published by Bright Byte, collects and how it is used.
No account, no personal details
The app has no sign-up or login. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location.
Your text stays on your device
All text styling happens on your phone. The text you type is never sent to us or to any server.
The following are stored only on your device:
- your favorites (styles, nicknames, symbols and bios you save with the heart)
- your history (text you copied or shared from the app)
- recently used styles, your custom templates, and app settings (theme, haptic feedback, which tips you have seen)
Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes all of this. If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include these files in your device backup, which is handled by Google under its own policy.
Clipboard and text from other apps
- Copy: when you tap Copy, the styled text is put on your device clipboard. Apps you paste it into handle it under their own policies.
- Paste: the app reads the clipboard only when you tap the Paste button (or the “Paste & style” prompt from the Quick Settings tile or widget). It never reads your clipboard in the background.
- “Cool Text” in the text selection menu: when you select text in another app and choose Cool Text, that text is passed to Cool Text Generator on your device so it can be styled. It is not sent anywhere. If you copy a result, it is added to your history on your device.
Data collected by third-party services
The app uses the following Google services. They may collect some data automatically:

This data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Google processes it under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
The text you type, your favorites and your history are never sent to these services.
Ads and your choices
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown and before analytics data is used (Google UMP and Google consent mode). Until you choose, ad and analytics storage stay off. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy options.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings: Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on your device).
- Ads shown in the app are limited to content suitable for teens.
- If Cool Text Pro is offered in your version of the app, buying it removes all ads.
Permissions
The app does not ask for any runtime permission. It uses only normal permissions that Android grants at install:
- Internet and network state: to load ads and send analytics and crash reports
- Advertising ID (AD_ID): used by the ads SDK
- Google Play Billing: for purchases, if Cool Text Pro is offered
To show quick share buttons (WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Discord) and our other apps, the app checks on your device whether those apps are installed. This information is not sent anywhere.
Purchases and subscriptions
If Cool Text Pro is offered, payments are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. You can cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Data deletion
We do not hold an account or a personal profile for you. To delete the data stored on your device, use Clear history in the Saved tab, uninstall the app, or clear its data in Android settings. To ask about data processed by Google services, contact us at the email below.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version.
