Privacy Policy: BrickBox

Last updated: 7 November 2026 (Firebase added) · All privacy policies

This policy explains what data the Android game BrickBox: Retro Brick Games(package com.brightbyte.brickbox), published by Bright Byte, collects and how it is used.

No account, no personal details

The game has no sign-up or login. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location.

Your progress stays on your device

The following are stored only on your phone:

  • your scores, best scores, unlocked levels and Daily Challenge streak
  • your points balance
  • your settings (sound, vibration, reduce motion, console era, block style and theme)
  • a record of the items you bought, so they stay unlocked

This data is never sent to us. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes it. If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include it in your device backup, which is handled by Google under its own policy.

Sharing your score

When you tap Share, the game opens your phone's share menu with a short message (your best score and a link to the game on Google Play). Nothing is sent unless you choose an app and send it yourself. The app you pick handles the message under its own policy. Sharing does not earn any reward.

Data collected by third-party services

The game uses the following Google services. They may collect some data automatically:

This data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Google processes it under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Your scores, points and settings are never sent to these services.

Ads and your choices

  • In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown and before analytics data is used (Google UMP and Google consent mode). Until you choose, ad and analytics storage stay off. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy options.
  • You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings: Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on your device).
  • Ads shown in the game are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
  • Video ads play only when you choose to watch one (for example, to get points or continue a run).
  • Buying Remove Ads (or the Everything bundle) removes all ads.

Permissions

The game does not ask for any runtime permission. It uses only normal permissions that Android grants at install:

  • Internet and network state: to load ads, send analytics and crash reports, and talk to Google Play for purchases and updates
  • Advertising ID (AD_ID): used by the ads SDK
  • Google Play Billing: for in-app purchases
  • Vibrate: for the optional key-press vibration

Purchases

In-app purchases (console eras, extra levels, game modes, block styles, point packs and Remove Ads) are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. Every item shows exactly what you get; there are no random rewards.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Data deletion

We do not hold an account or a personal profile for you. To delete the data stored on your device, uninstall the game or clear its data in Android settings. To ask about data processed by Google services, contact us at the email below.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version.
